If you are upgrading inside a branch (for example, from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4, go to Members Page), you will be able to download an "upgrade kit" for your version (in your case you would need a kit for 3.0.2). If you are upgrading from 2.x.x to 3.x.x, then upgrade procedure is little more compex, and described here

[edit] What are "upgrade kits"?

Upgrade kit contains only files changed between your installed aMember Pro version, and last released version. So, you can only re-upload changed files. Usually it will allow you to save templates customizations and other stuff.

[edit] How to use the upgrade kits?

  • Backup your aMember Pro folder (via FTP), and database (using aMember CP -> Backup). This step is IMPORTANT, you may skip the following steps :) !
  • Download and unpack the upgrade kit suitable for your installed version. 
     Tip: You may find the aMember version in the aMember Admin Control Panel, it is displayed on the first page when you login.
  • Upload files and folders from the ZIP file to your webserver, into amember/ folder (it will cause overwriting of existing aMember files and folders, this OK - files should be replaced); 
     Important: after this step, aMember Pro may not be operational - follow the next step as soon as possible
  • Run http://yoursite.com/amember/admin/upgrade_db.php from your browser. This special script will do the necessary actions to upgrade aMember MySQL database structure to match new version requirements. This step is very important.
  • Last, but not least - test your installation, and make sure aMember Pro is able to accept new signups.

[edit] Q.: Where can I download upgrades?

A.: To download an upgrade, please login to the Membership info page. If aMember download is not available, it means that your free 6 months of upgrades is over. You may order another 1 year of access to upgrades for $80 from the same page.

[edit] Q.: Can you perform an upgrade for me?

A.: If you need assistance with an upgrade, we can do it for $40. You can pay for upgrade work here. Please provide us with the following info: FTP info, aMember Admin Control Panel URL, admin username and password (submit a trouble ticket to the HelpDesk). Please note - ANY TEMPLATE CHANGES AND SCRIPT CUSTOMIZATIONS WILL BE LOST AFTER UPGRADE. NOTIFY US IF THERE WAS ANY SPECIAL CUSTOMIZATIONS, OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS. Allow us 24-72 hours to finish upgrade (depends on our current load).
